A 28-year-old Waipahu woman was charged Wednesday with damaging a vehicle while trying to ram a group of people in Waimanalo. Amber Nakamura was charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree criminal property damage.

Argument over parking space leads to arrests

The projected cost overrun for the city's contentious rail project will remain at $910 million, or perhaps grow even larger, after the transit authority unveiled five bids Tuesday for the construction of three stations in Waipahu, West Loch and Leeward Community College. "It's not a matter of saving at this point, it's just really trying to keep to the new estimate that we've got to complete the project," Dan Grabauskas, the head of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation, told reporters after the bids were unsealed.
